About The Event
Get ready for an evening of relatable stories, family situations and observational humour with Telling Lies – A Standup Solo by Aashish Solanki. As part of his India tour, Aashish Solanki brings his latest stand-up comedy show to Chandigarh, presenting a fresh hour of comedy inspired by the changes, challenges and funny moments of everyday life. In this new comedy special, Aashish explores life as a new father while trying to balance parenting, relationships, personal routines and the everyday chaos that comes with growing up. From surviving on coffee and jokes to dealing with family dynamics, the show turns familiar situations into sharp and entertaining comedy. The performance also draws from Aashish's experiences before comedy. Having previously worked as a mathematics teacher, he brings his problem-solving perspective into situations that have little to do with equations and much more to do with family, relationships and real-life situations. His stories also touch upon his sister, parents, first love and gym sessions, creating a mix of personal storytelling and observational humour. Telling Lies is built around real moments, family drama and the amusing contradictions that often appear in everyday life. The show combines storytelling with punchlines and relatable observations, making it suitable for audiences who enjoy contemporary Hindi stand-up comedy. The Chandigarh performances are currently listed at Punjab Arts Council, Sector 16B, Chandigarh, on 17 and 18 October 2026 at 7:00 PM. The listed runtime is approximately 90 minutes. Whether you're a regular stand-up comedy audience member or simply looking for an entertaining evening with friends, Telling Lies by Aashish Solanki brings together personal experiences, family stories, humour and everyday observations in a live comedy format. No filters. Just laughs.
