About The Event
Seven seconds. One lifetime. One love story. Saitan Theatre Group returns with Rooh Aur Farishta, a poetic romantic drama that explores the powerful emotions of love, longing, dreams and destiny through the language of theatre. Presented through a combination of poetry, songs, scenework and qissagoi, the production creates an immersive storytelling experience where words, music and memories come together to tell an unforgettable love story. What makes Rooh Aur Farishta distinctive is the way its story unfolds. The play does not begin at the beginning—it begins at the end. Set within the final seven seconds before death, the story explores a fleeting moment in which an entire lifetime seems to pass between one breath and the next. As those final seconds unfold, memories return, forgotten conversations resurface and songs from another time begin to echo. Fragments of a relationship gradually come together, revealing a story shaped by love, separation, dreams and destiny. The narrative moves between past and present, creating an emotional journey where memories become as real as the moments that created them. The play is presented in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, bringing together the poetic richness of all three languages. This multilingual approach adds depth to the storytelling while creating a world where poetry and music become an important part of the emotional landscape. The Chandigarh theatre audience can experience Rooh Aur Farishta at the Main Auditorium, Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh, on 4 October 2026 at 6:00 PM. Written and directed by Rajneesh Gautam, the production features Aayush, Gautmi, Khanak, Mukul, Pragati, Rajneesh, Shivani, Shresth and Swati in its cast and crew.
